GGGI is an intergovernmental organization founded to support and promote the global green growth. Its official head-office is in Seoul, South Korea. In Vietnam, the GGGI focused two key sectors: water and green urban development. At the meeting, Mr Daniel Buckley informed of the GGGI’s activities during the last time. Dien Ban town (Quang Nam province) was chosen as a model of green growth because it was one of the first localities to convert Green Growth Strategy into Action Plan  in 2015. Especially, Mr Daniel Buckley also learned about the conditions and strengths of Dien Ban town in particular and Quang Nam province as whole to foster investment into the province in the coming time.

In reply, Vice Chairman Thanh thanked for the GGGI’s support of Quang Nam province’s green growth. He also said about the province’s disadvantages and limitations (including climate change impacts, natural conditions, capital) in green growth. So, Mr Thanh hoped the GGGI to continue to support Quang Nam not just Dien Ban town but Hoi An and Tam Ky cities.
