Tra Linh commune, Nam Tra My district, Quang Nam province is a good place for Ngoc Linh ginseng to grow. It is a new tourist destination that is very attractive to domestic and foreign visitors.
A tourist site of Nam Tra My district, Tak Ngo is about 28km from the district centre. It owns beautiful landscapes with an old-grown forest, falls and springs; fresh and cool air and an extremely precious specialty- Ngoc Linh ginseng, which are attractive to lots of visitors.
Besides touching Ngoc Linh ginseng, discovering the process of its growth, visitors can conquer the 2598m mountain peak covered by white clouds, contemplating the village on the mountainside where the ethnic people of Xe Dang, Ka Dong and Mo Nong live, and enjoying their traditional cultural festivals.
Ngoc Linh ginseng is evaluated as one of the most precious ginsengs in the world and considered as a national treasure of Vietnam. The Tak Ngo garden of Ngoc Linh ginseng covers an area of 85 ha with three zones: an 11-ha area for tourism, a 5-ha area for scientific research and a 68-ha area for growing Ngoc Linh ginseng. It is planned to become a tourist site and a leverage for tourism development in Nam Tra My district and the mountainous area of Quang Nam.
