THACO officially introduced its production line and Iveco Daily minibus manufactured and assembled in Vietnam on October 10.
In March 2018, THACO and Iveco signed a cooperation agreement on technology transfer to manufacture, assemble and distribute Iveco brand minibus in Vietnam market.
Iveco company was established in 1975 by top 5 European companies with more than 150 years in automobile manufacturing. Its headquarter is located in Italy.
Iveco Daily - a brand-new minibus product (including 16-seat and 19-seat vehicles) is manufactured and assembled at the THACO bus factory in THACO Chu Lai Industrial Park, Quang Nam province.
According to THACO’s Deputy General Director Nguyen Quang Bao, the company has produced and assembled buses in Chu Lai since 2004 and become one of the leading bus brands in Vietnam.
THACO has provided more than 18,000 buses of all kinds to the market, accounting for 65% market share with a localization rate of over 60% and exported cars to the Philippines, Thailand, and Singapore.
Speaking at the event, Vice Chairman of the Quang Nam province’s People’s Committee Tran Van Tan stated THACO’s introduction of its production line and Iveco Daily minibus product demonstrated THACO's efforts and determination in both Covid-19 epidemic prevention and economic development.
The Quang Nam authority will continue to create favorable conditions for THACO to develop production and expand investment in the locality.
