The Zhuang delegation visits Quang Nam

(QNO) - The Zhuang delegation from the Chinese Guangxi autonomous region led by its chairman Chen Wu paid a working visit to Quang Nam province on April 21. Chairman of the Quang Nam provincial People’s Committee Dinh Van Thu gave them a warm reception.

Present at the working session were Assistant to Head of the Northeast Asia Department, Chinese Consul General in Da Nang Xi Hui, Vietnamese Consul General in Nanning (Guangxi province) Hoang Ngoc Vinh, and leaders of Quang Nam province, Tam Ky city and Hoi An city.

At the meeting, Chairman of the Quang Nam provincial People’s Committee Dinh Van Thu and Chairman of the Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region Chen Wu talked about the establishment of the cooperative relationship between Quang Nam and Guangxi.

Mr. Chen Wu completely agreed with Mr. Dinh Van Thu about the idea of setting up a cooperative relationship in tourism and services, human resource training, hi-tech agriculture, and investment attraction. A meeting for talks on the cooperative contents will expectedly take place in September.

The Quang Nam and Guangxi Departments of Foreign Affairs were appointed to get in touch with each other and act as counselors for the cooperative relationship between these two provinces.

On this occasion, the delegation of the Zhuang visited Hoi An ancient quarter.

It took the delegation nearly an hour to visit some relics in Hoi An such as Ong pagoda, Japanese bridge, Duc An ancient house, and Guangdong club house.

The delegation was really interested in the history of Hoi An ancient town and the old-fashioned relics related to the Chinese.

The delegation also dropped into some souvenir shops, paying their attention to some typical goods. Besides, they asked for the information about the water supply and drainage system in the ancient quarter to protect this relic in the rainy season.

At the end of the visit, Mr. Chen Wu thanked for Hoi An authorities’ and people’s warm welcome and enthusiasm during the time the delegation was here.
