FAMLAB residency in Hoi An

(QNO) - The FAMLAB residency programme will be held in Hoi An in June 2019 by the British Council.

FAMLAB residency programme is part of the FAMLAB strand of the Heritage of Future Past project carried out by the British Council. The programme is accompanied by Lune Production and Phu Sa Lab (including music director Nguyen Nhat Ly and members of the SEAPHONY Orchestra). It aims at in-depth musical exchanges and sharing on indigenous forms of Vietnamese music.

The 20-day programme organized in Hoi An city (Quang Nam province) in June 2019 is calling for participants who have knowledge of various types of traditional Vietnamese music from the cultural regions of North West, Central Highlands, and South Central. It is taking place from the 6th to the 25th of June. The programme is planned to end with a public concert on 25 June at the Dong Hiep Cultural Park, Hoi An city, Quang Nam province. The application deadline is April 19, 2019.

The Heritage of Future Past project aims to preserve, promote and develop the values of cultural heritages worldwide. It also helps the residents in the heritage regions better their lives via the heritages’ values.
