(QNO) - On the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the Culture and Information Branch (August 28th), Quang Nam Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism announced the list of national intangible heritages on August 25th. Present at this event were the representatives of the leaders from Quang Nam province including provincial Party Secretary Le Phuoc Thanh, Chairman of provincial People’s Council Nguyen Ngoc Quang, leaders of provincial People’s Committee and provincial Standing Board.
The action in the field of culture and information becomes more developmental, diversified and province-wide over the last 70 years, especially since the provincial refoundation. There are 300 provincial level relics, 60 national level ones and 2 world heritages. Vice Chairman of provincial people’s committee Nguyen Chin said at the anniversary that culture is the target and motivation of socio-economic development. Those who work in this branch need helping to keep on their jobs creatively.
The representative of the Heritage Office offered the recognition of 6 national intangible cultural heritages in Quang Nam, including Bai Choi singing, Tang tung and Dada dance, Co Tu brocade weaving, the celebration of Ms Cho Duoc's palankeen, Ba Trao singing, the Co's Neu pole and Gu set. Concurrently, the only Mukhalinga (My Son E7) was also recognized as the national precious object.
