An exhibition of the Hoang Sa and Truong Sa maps and historical documents

(QNO) - The opening ceremony of the exhibition of Vietnam’s  Hoang Sa (Paracel) and Truong Sa (Spratly) maps and materials: The historical and legal evidences was celebrated by the Vietnam Ministry of Information and Communications and the High Command of Vietnam Coast Guard on December 4th at Tam Quang commune, Nui Thanh district, Quang Nam province. Present at this event are Deputy Minister of Information and Communications Pham Minh Tuan, Colonel Tran Van Dung - Political Commissar of the Vietnam Coast Guard Zone 2.

This activity plays an important role in raising the awareness, solidarity and responsibility of the Vietnamese, overseas Vietnamese compatriots and particularly Vietnamese youth for the defense and sovereignty over Hoang Sa and Truong Sa archipelagos.

On this occasion, the Atlas Universel by Belgian geographer Philippe Vandermaelen (1795 -1869), many other documentations and publications confirming Vietnam's sovereignty over two archipelagos Hoang Sa and Truong Sa are also displayed.

The exhibition will last till December 8th.
