Creating favourable conditions for Thai investors into the province


(QNO) - On Tuesday (August 16), Chairman of Quang Nam provincial People’s Committee Dinh Van Thu played host to the delegation from Thai Center for Commercial Affairs in Vietnam’s Ho Chi Minh city  and Thai Viet Swine Line  Company Limited led by Ms. Pitinun Samanvorawong- Commercial Consul and Head of the Thai Trade Center in Ho Chi Minh city.

At the meeting, the representatives discussed investment policies and incentives for Thai businesses in Quang Nam.  Ms. Samanvorawong highly appreciated the province’s investment climate, which is very attractive  to Thai investors.  The Thai Consulate in Ho Chi Minh city will act as a bridge to call for Thai investors into  Quang Nam.

Chairman Thu emphasized the diplomatic activities between Quang Nam and Thailand’s provinces strengthened in recent years. However, the number of Thai businesses in the province is not as many as in other countries in Asia. At present, there are 5 Thai businesses in the province with the total investment capital of 19.2 million USD focusing on clothing, wood and breeding food processing…The province’s leaders desired the Thai Consulate to give the opportunity for Quang Nam businesses to advertise the local potentials and advantages to Thai investors. At the same time, the province will create favourable conditions for the Thai to do businesses in Quang Nam.
