(QNO) - After a sightseeing and surveying trip to Hoi An city (Quang Nam province) in September 2013,the mission group of UN-HABITAT gave high valuation in both the development and people’s wellbeing of this World cultural heritage.
In the Final Reviewing Meeting held in Hangzhou city in last October, China, by the joint organizers: UN-HABITAT Regional Office for Asia and the Pacific (Fukuoka), Asian HABITAT Society, Fukuoka Asian Urban Research Center, and Asian Townscape Design Society, Hoi An city was selected as “The 2013 Asian Townscape Award”.
The UN-HABITA puts out strictly regulations to present this honorable title. For being chosen, all cities has to achieve sustainable urban development linking people’s life with green trees, fresh air, unpolluted environment and best guaranteed social security for residents.
The official award announcement and award ceremony will be held on Tuesday 26th November 2013, in Fukuoka city (Japan).
