(QNO) - Hoi An water puppetry programme has just been used to serve residents and tourists by Hoi An Center for Culture and Sports.
Accordingly, since October 2015 this programme has been shown at Hoi An theatre- 548, Hai Ba Trung street, from 18h30 every Friday and Saturday nights. Beside many familiar acts of Vietnamese water puppetry such as (swimming to catch fish, boat race, dragon and children dances…) are many shows of the local cultural features such as Aspara dance, hamming-top legend. Along with strong investment into the puppets, water house, sound and light systems…, the artists were trained professionally to bring viewers an enjoyable feeling towards this kind of national art.
Reportedly, water puppetry- a folk art originated in the plains of Northern Vietnam in the 10th century and it is shown nationwide.
