(QNO) - Chairman of Quang Nam province’s People’s Committee Dinh Van Thu hosted a meeting with the representatives of foreign localities and partners from South Korea, Thailand, Laos…in Tam Ky city on June 10.

On the occasion of the 6th Quang Nam Heritage Festival, the meeting held aims to create the exchange between Quang Nam province’s leaders and the delegations of foreign localities. At the same, it is a chance to look back the results from the cooperative relationships between the province and foreign localities. Until now, the province and 9 localities from Laos, Thailand, South Korea, Japan, Belarus, and the United States have signed cooperative agreements.

At the meeting, Chairman Thu underlined Quang Nam does not only care about the provincial socio-economic development but also promote foreign relations, which support the province’s economic growth and contribute to introduce the Quang Nam people and land to the world. He pledged to continuously improve the investment climate with open and preferential policies to attract investors.

On this occasion, Quang Nam and Gwangyang (South Korea) signed a cooperative agreement of widening investment in such fields as industry, logistics, tourism and training. Mayor of South Korean Osan city (a twinned city with Quang Nam province since 2004) Kwak Sang Wook said he witnessed the fruitful and impressive changes of Quang Nam province and hoped the relationship between the two side better.
