According to the project, 34 kilometres of line will be laid, of which there will be 15.5 kilometres of 22kV trans-ocean line and 18.5 kilometres of 22kV line running from the mainland. The total investment capital for the project is about 126 billion VND.
The project would be completed in 2015 to meet local residents demand and serve better for the socio-economic development of Tam Hiep commune, particularly in the tourism sector as well as in the needs of national defence and the security of the national sea and islands.
At present, Cu Lao Cham power source is generated from a diesel power factory which does not provide sufficient power for people’s daily use, production and rapidly developing tourism.
“Quang Nam province would create favourable condition for the Central Power Corporation to carry out the project and finish the project soon,” said Mr Dinh Van Thu, Vice chairman of Quang Nam provincial People’s Committee.
