New THACO's factory inaugurated


(QNO) - On 15th February 2016, over 7,000 workers of the Chu Lai-Truong Hai Complex (THACO - located in Nui Thanh district, Quang Nam province) began the first working day after Tet holidays (Lunar New year of the Monkeys).

On the occasion, THACO put a new trailers and special vehicles factory into operation. Its total  invested capital is nearly 150 billion VND (nearly 70 million USD); and its production capacity is about 5,000 products per year. It is projected to produce 1,200 trailers, 1,500 tipper lorries, 300 fuel tanks and concrete mixing tanks in 2016.

According to THACO’s leaders, in 2016, it will be invested and developed to become a regional level vehicle production center in order to meet the demands of regional and international economic integration after 2018, contribute to the local social security development.

Visiting the THACO, Mr Nguyen Ngoc Quang, Secretary of the Quang Nam provincial Party Committee, highly valued its investment, production and trading development strategies. He expected THACO to develop firmly and stably on the road of integration.
