(QNO) - A delegate group of The Japanese Association of Tourism Agents (JATA) visited Vietnam last weekend. After conducting field trips to some tourist destinations, JATA and the Travel Division under Vietnam National Administration of Tourism discussed about the tourism cooperation between two countries and mapped out plans to develop the tourist market in Vietnam.
JATA highly appreciated the tourism environment and products of Quang Nam, Thua Thien - Hue provinces and Da Nang city. JATA chose Vietnam as the focal market in 2014 and the above three localities will be priority destinations for Japanese tourists via direct flights from Tokyo, Japan.
Reportedly, in the first ten months of 2013, nearly 500,000 Japanese tourists visited the country, a year-on-year rise of 5.6 percent, and more than 65% of which chose Quang Nam, Da Nang and Hue were priority destinations.
