Sino-Vietnamese document heritages preserved

(QNO) - According to Mr. Phan Van Cam, Director of the Quang Nam provincial Center for relics and beautiful landscapes management (CRBLM), after 3 years of carrying out the provincial level research on collecting, studying and translating Han Nom (Sino-Vietnamese) documents, the CRBLM discovered and listed thousands of precious materials.

Up to now, the CRBLM has collected  about 1,000 pages of Han Nom documents on Vietnamese hamlets and communes (Quang Nam xa chi – Administrative documents about the communes of Quag Nam province) before 1954 and  3,000 pages of the copied, printed Honour  Certificates, 128 epitaphs, 600 pages of deifying certificates, 800 parallel sentences and horizontal lacquered boards. Most of those documents were discovered in Tam Kỳ city, Hoi An city, Tien Phuoc, Dai Loc, Dien Ban and Duy Xuyen districts.

The original documents are still placed at the relics, the copied and re-printed are being checked and analyzed by the CRBLM before being preserved to promote the value of national heritage.
