South Korean Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary visits Quang Nam province

(QNO) - New Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of South Korea in Vietnam, Mr. Lee Hyuk  paid a courtesy visit to the provincial leaders on June 28.

At the reception, Permanent Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Huynh Khanh Toan mentioned the Vietnam-South Korea friendship cooperation, the relationship between Quang Nam and South Korean provinces and organizations. There are now 19 South Korean enterprises with a total investment capital of nearly 212 million USD in the province’s industrial parks.  In recent 5 years, three investment promotion conferences have been organized in South Korea by the province and diplomatic representative agencies and partners of South Korea. So far, South Korean non-governmental organizations have sponsored the province for health-care services, education and community development.

Mr. Toan also took this opportunity to ask  Ambassador Lee to introduce Quang Nam to more South Korean investors. Especially, Permanent Vice Chairman Toan hoped the South Korean Embassy in Vietnam to  support the province to organize a seminar “Quang Nam- South Korea economic cooperation” in the province as soon as possible.

In reply, Ambassador Lee promised to make his best efforts to better the friendship cooperation between the province and South Korea in particular and between two countries as a whole. On this occasion, Ambassador Lee took part in the inauguration ceremony of Trung Thanh wall-painting village in Tam Thanh commune, Tam Ky city.
