(QNO) - The delegation of South Korean Embassy and Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) led by the South Korean Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Kim Do-Hyon has just had a working visit to Quang Nam province.
At the reception, Vice Chairman of the Quang Nam’s People’ Committee Tran Van Tan said, in the past years, the friendship relationship between Quang Nam and South Korean organizations and localities had the new developments. South Korea is one of the important investors in Quang Nam. There are 46 South Korean projects with a total capital investment of 500 million USD in the province now, contributing to local growth. In addition, Quang Nam attracted official development aid (ODA) from Government of South Korea in health, education, community development, the regional connection project in Central Vietnam . In 2018, non-governmental aids from South Korea with nearly 400,000 USD aimed improve the water quality, support to overcome natural disaster, health, education, mural village…in Quang Nam.
Quang Nam province has cooperative relations with 3 South Korean localities: Osan and Yongin cities (Gyeonggi province), Gwangyang city (Jeonnam province) and one partner - Dongduk Women’s University. Besides, there are the friendship and cooperative relations between Quang Nam’s localities have the friendship and cooperative relations with 3 South Korean localities: Tam Ky city and Dalseo district (Daegu city), Nam Tra My and Hamyang district (Gyeongnam province), Dien Ngoc ward (Dien Ban town) and Namchon ward (Osan city).
On this occasion, Quang Nam’s leader asked South Korean Ambassador to create favourable conditions for the regional connection project in Central Vietnam , support for vocational training and new rural construction, introduce Quang Nam province to South Korean investors, train human resources.
Speaking at the meeting, Ambassador Kim Do-Hyon thanked for Quang Nam leader’s respectful reception. He said he would try to create the most favorable conditions as possible to promote the relationship between Quang Nam and Korean organizations and localities better.
