SPIR supports Quang Nam province to enhance ability of reproductive and children health care


(QNO) - On 2nd March, 2016, Mr Le Van Thanh, Vice chairman of Quang Nam provincial People’s Committee welcomed a delegation of the Samaritan’s Purse International Relief (SPRI- a Non-Governmental Organization from the USA) led by Ms. Adams Harmonie Ruth - Manager of the  SPRI’s Health and Nutrition Programme.

At the meeting, Ms. Adams Harmonie Ruth introduced the targets, regions and objects that have been granted the health supporting projects from the SPIR. SPIR will support to enhance doctors’ ability of newborn unit, support necessary equipment for two newborn unit samples at two hospitals of Quang Nam province. The team managing and operating these facilities are concurrently trained. In the future, SPIR will continue to support to enhance the local medical staff’s abilities in order to develop mothers reproductive and children health care in the community, reduce the rate of  (malnutration) malnutrition in children.

Mr Le Van Thanh thanked for the SPIR’s helps, answered visitors’ questions and hoped that SPIR would pay more attention to and support Quang Nam’s mountainous regions in mothers, reproductive and malnutrition children health care field.
