(QNO) - Vice Chairman of Quang Nam People’s Committee Le Van Thanh played host to the delegation from the Vietnam Veterans Association of South Korea (VVAK) led by its Chairman Woo Young Rak on June 23.

At the meeting, two sides signed a Memorandum of Understanding. Accordingly, Quang Nam province and the VVAK will regularly exchange information in many fields to strengthen the friendship cooperation. The VVAK committed to funding the building of the Vietnam-South Korea Cultural Exchange Center in Quang Nam and calling for investors from South Korea into the province’s Industrial Parks. In addition, the VVAK will support the province to have a permanent office in Seoul in order to attract investment.
Speaking at the meeting, Vice Chairman Thanh thanked for the VVAK’s support. The Vietnam-South Korea Cultural Exchange Center promised to help Vietnamese people in general and Quang Nam residents understand more about South Korean people, culture and country. In reply, Mr Woo Young Rak thanked for the warmly reception of the Quang Nam People’s Committee. He also hoped the project of the Vietnam-South Korea Cultural Exchange Center to start in 2017 to foster Vietnam-South Korea friendship.
