250 turtle eggs moved to Cham Islands

(QNO) - 250 turtle eggs were transported to Cham Islands (Hoi An city, Quang Nam province) from Con Dao National Park in late June.

These eggs have been hatched and their germs are in normal state. So, the transport of the eggs must be careful to avoid bad impacts to them.

The eggs were divided into two parts. One was transported by road, and another was done by air.

It is reported that the Management Board of Cham Islands were given 900 turtle eggs last year by Con Dao National Park (Con Dao Island, Ba Ria-Vung Tau province). They were hatched in Bai Bac and 840 of them hatched out. The number is 500 eggs this year. 250 eggs were moved to Cham Islands in late June; the left will be done in August.

These activities are under the conservation project on rare sea turtles carried out by the Management Board of Cham Islands.
