(QNO) - The Government of Japan has offered 105 water filters to people in Thua Thien- Hue and Quang Nam provinces through the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JACA).

The aim of the support is to help people in flooded areas in Quang Nam and Thua Thien- Hue provinces have clean water for their living.
On behalf of the Government of Vietnam, the Central Steering Committee for Disaster Prevention and Control under the General Department of Natural Disaster Prevention and Control has received all the filters and will transfer them to these two provinces as soon as possible.
According to Director General of the General Department of Disaster Prevention and Control Tran Quang Hoai, it is a timely great help from the Government of Japan, expressing a good relationship between two countries and two peoples. The help is very significant in this time when these provinces are under bad impacts of floods caused by typhoon 12.
Reportedly, the filters were moved to Da Nang airport at 15:30 on November 7, 2017.
