The Arts for Smiles exhibition week takes place in Quang Nam from November 5 to 10, 2020.
It is a joint project between the Vietnam Fine Art Association, Operation Smile and TUI BLUE Nam Hoi An in order to raise fund and help bring full smiles to children.
Chance of popularizing the southern part of Quang Nam
According to Dieter Schenk- CEO of TUI BLUE Nam Hoi An, the event is a great chance to introduce the beauty of the southern part of Quang Nam to the public, including Tam Thanh mural village, Tam Tien fish market, Loc Yen ancient village, Vietnam’s Heroic Mother statue and Ky Anh tunnel.
Reportedly, there are 11 members of the Vietnam Fine Art Association taking part in the project. Their paintings are about Quang Nam’s beauties, cultural and historical sites in hope of contributing to the Operation Smile’s activities of bringing full smiles to children with cleft lip and cleft palate. Besides, the event is also expected to help introduce and advertise some tourist attractions in the south part of Quang Nam.
The paintings composed in the Arts for Smiles exhibition week will be sold by auction at the year-end party in TUI BLUE Nam Hoi An on December 31, 2020. The revenue from the auction will be sent to the Operation Smile’s charity projects on bringing full smiles to children.
The Arts for Smiles exhibition week is highly appreciated because it can help restart local economic activities and promote tourism in the south part of Quang Nam after Covid-19.
Operation Smile is an international medical charity that has provided free surgeries for over 300 thousand children with cleft lip, cleft palate or other facial deformities in over 60 countries in the world.
