A meeting about Covid-19 prevention and control was held by the National Steering Committee for Covid-19 prevention and control chaired by its Head, Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam on August 4.
The outbreak of Covid-19 occurred in Da Nang city in the early of July, 2020. The number of Covid-19 cases is now increasing. Most of them are related to Da Nang, mainly in the hospitals there. 6 cases were found in communities and no infection.
The places where the cases of Covid-19 were found have been being isolated. Most of the cases that have come into contact with the Covid-19 patients have been quarantined.
It is forecasted that there will be more Covid-19 cases detected in the community and more dead due to the disease in the coming time but it is confirmed that the epidemic is in control.
However, the task of Covid-19 prevention and control must not be neglected. According to Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam, the fight against Covid-19 will last until a vaccine is produced.
The Covid-19 outbreak in Da Nang is a strict warning to the whole health-care system, authorities and people about the epidemic.
Therefore, it is necessary to strengthen the Covid-19 epidemic prevention and control. It is determined that social distancing will not go back on a large scale.
