Earth Hour 2018 – Go more green


(QNO) - Earth Hour is an annual event organized by the World Wild Fund for Nature. The event aims to call for the actions against climate change through some specific activities such as turning off lights and unnecessary electrical equipment during the event.

Under the theme “Go More Green”, the event not only reminds us of energy saving but also aims to protect our environment, respond to climate change for the green future.

Hoi An is building its image as a city of ecology, culture and tourism, a destination of peace and green. Therefore, the Earth Hour campaign has become one of the annual event in the city since its launch (2009). The event helps to raise the people’s awareness of natural environment protection and receives visitors’ sympathy.

In this year's event, there are a lot of practical activities such as turning off unnecessary electrical equipment from 20:00 to 21:00 on March 24, 2018, organizing some art performances, flower garlands and colourful lanterns festival. Hopefully, the locals and visitors will have interesting experiences during the event.

- Arts performance “Earth Hour Actions”.
- Turning off lights - Launching the “Earth Hour 2018”.

- Concert: traditional folk music, folk song teaching, choir, yo-heave-ho, folk games, calligraphy, and experiential activities.
