(QNO) - The 31st National Diplomacy Conference was held online on December 15, 2021. Present at the event was Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh.

Giving a speech at the conference, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh highly appreciated the achievements of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, especially its contribution to Vietnam’s successful fulfillment of the role of the ASEAN Chair in 2020 and the non-permanent members of the United Nations Security Council for 2020-2021 term, over the past two years.

Besides, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs also took an active part in the fight against Covid-19, including the vaccine diplomacy strategy, for national socio-economic recovery.

Moreover, the diplomatic sector has made the world, foreign businesses included, love and trust Vietnam more and more. The diplomatic force has become more mature in all aspects.

PM Chinh also requested the diplomatic sector to fulfill its tasks set forth by the 13th Party Congress.

At the same time, he stated that all diplomatic activities had to be for the sake of the nation and for the legitimate interests of the international community.

Diplomatic activities need to express “emotion, sincerity, reliability, equality, efficiency and mutual development” and must be “resolute, steadfast, flexible, scientific and effective”.
