(QNO) - Hoi An South Development Ltd. (HASD) and VinaCapital Foundation (VCF) transferred USD 50,000 worth of educational and medical equipment to Duy Hai and Duy Nghia communes (Duy Xuyen district, Quang Nam province) on May 23. The event is of the Community Building Programme conducted by HASD and their partners.

HASD is making an effort to complete the Hoi An South Integrated Resort project on time. At the same time, HASD also helps Quang Nam in education and healthcare, bettering the local lives. Namely at the beginning of 2018, Duy Hai clinic (Duy Xuyen district) was equipped with an ultrasonographer, an electrocardiogram machine, 20 hospital beds, 3 medicine cabinets, computers, projectors and screens.

In addition, two computer labs were equipped with 35 computers in the schools in Duy Hai commune. Water filtration systems were also installed in 4 nursery schools in this commune.

According to CEO of HASD Don Lam, HASD’s contributions to the sustainable development of Quang Nam are especially significant. HASD plays a part in the provincial tourism development, bettering the local lives through using the local human resources, contributing to the development of the young.
The Hoi An South Integrated Resort project is expected to come into operation in early 2019. The USD 4 billion project will make an important change to the coastal sand area in Duy Hai and Duy Nghia (Duy Xuyen district) and Binh Duong (Thang Binh district), turning these poor communes into a tourist destination, creating job opportunities for the locals, and improving the local lives.

CEO of VCF Rad Kivette said that VCF would help the poor and the young better their lives by providing them with educational and medical equipment, and scholarships. The HASD and VCF’s Community Building Programme will soon be expanded to Binh Duong commune (Thang Binh district, Quang Nam province), one of the communes where the Hoi An South project is located.
