The festival named Challenges of Cao Lau faces 10 international chefs working in Vietnamese restaurants. They bring different flavours of Cao Lau of their own countries to local residents and visitors. As an activity of the 6th Quang Nam Heritage Festival 2017, the event contributes to the Hoi An tourism brand name promotion and confirmation. At the same time, it is also a chance for local chefs and international food experts to exchange experiences.

Especially, at the 2nd International Culinary Festival (in March, 2017), Hoi An was honored to be the “Food Capital of Vietnam” by the World Association of Chefs’ Societies. It was also chosen as a place for Vietnamese and foreign cuisine connection and exchange via the annual international food festival.
The culinary festival will end on June 14.
