Plan of exhibition of Cham cultural heritage in Quang Nam Festival 2017

(QNO) - On November 9, the plans on “Displaying and introducing the Cham cultural heritage of central provinces” and art performance “Apsara- a legend” were passed at a meeting between Mr. Le Van Thanh-Deputy Chairman of Quang Nam People’s Committee with Duy Xuyen district and related departments. These activities are the parts of the 6th Quang Nam Heritage Festival (2017).

As scheduled, the exhibition will take place at My Son Museum (Duy Xuyen) on June 9-14, 2017. Valuable and rare national treasures from 6 provinces (Quang Nam, Binh Dinh, Khanh Hoa, Phu Yen, Ninh Thuan, Binh Thuan) including Tra Kieu Pedestal, the statue of Tara Buddha (Indochine Buddhist Institute), the statue of God Shiva’s head (Phu Long),…will be displayed here.

The art performances of “Apsara- a Legend” of Cham folk art by Cham artists from Ninh Thuan province) and an art exchange program will occur on  June 10-11.

My Son Cham folk art team of Quang Nam province will perform during the festival. Traditional handicrafts (Bau Truc pottery, Ma Chau silk, My Nghiep brocade, stone and wood engraving)… will be introduced at My Son relic site.
