(QNO) - The artistic programme “Quang Nam- Precious gems” was the highlight of the 20th anniversary of My Son Sanctuary and Hoi An ancient town recognized as the UNESCO’s world cultural heritages.
The artistic programme “Quang Nam- Precious gems” told the history of the heritage sites. It aimed to introduce and promote Hoi An ancient town, My Son Sanctuary and Cham Islands World Biosphere Reserve. The programme was also a chance to honour those who had contributed to the conservation and promotion of heritage values.
The “Quang Nam- Precious gems” endured within 60 minutes. It was an outdoor visual show happening at the main gate of My Son Sanctuary. Besides, Hoi An streets also played an important role in the event as the programme was directly connected between two sites.
The programme included three parts: the gems in Quang Nam (Hoi An ancient town, My Son Sanctuary and Cham Islands World Biosphere Reserve), Heritage imprint and making a big connection of arms- shining the future. In the 1st part, the cultural values of Champa civilization hidden in My Son Sanctuary appeared on the stage with traditional Cham dances. In addition, ballets and colors of the sails brought audiences to Hoi An, a famous busy ancient trade port. Finally was the scene of Cham Islands, a rich area of natural products and strong fishermen.
The 2nd part was a Carnival lively broadcast from Hoi An city. Besides, there were a Bai Choi performance and several other artistic performances.
The programme focused on Quang Nam folk artistic performances in order to introduce the local heritages and typical cultural features to the public.
