The event organized by Hoi An city Center for Culture and Sports in coordination with Japanese Embassy and agencies in Vietnam aims to strengthen the close relations between two countries Vietnam and Japan in general and Hoi An city and Japan in particular. It is the second year the wedding of Ngoc Hoa princess and Japanese businessman Araki Sotaro has been retraced. Ngoc Hoa was Nguyen Phuc Nguyen King’s daughter. Her marriage happened in 1691. She came to live in Japan with her husband in 1620. It is known that she taught Japanese people Vietnamese dances and cuisines, bringing the relief to the needy, building pagodas... Japanese people loved Ngoc Hoa and called her with the informal name Anio. The trade between Hoi An and Japan also became better and the relation between Japan and Vietnam closer.
