Farmstay is derived from farm and homestay. A farmstay is defined as a farmhouse accommodation where visitors have to pay for their overnight stay. Also, they can participate in farming activities, relaxing and enjoying local specialties.
Currently, there are immense and attractive agricultural fields in some Quang Nam’s localities such as Dien Ban, Duy Xuyen, Thang Binh. These places are quite close to the tourist attraction of Hoi An ancient town. Farmstay is an environmentally-friendly and sustainable tourism product and contributes to the development of a green economy.
Dien Phuong Riverside Village & Farm (Dien Ban), a miniature village with green space and some unique agricultural tourism products can be considered as one of the first farmstay-oriented products in the province. This site attracts many visitors.
Giang Thom Pit community tourism village and Tu My orchards (Tam My Tay commune, Nui Thanh district) with green hills, cool climate even in summer and the population of gray-shanked douc langurs, and Dai Binh community tourism village with many typical fruits of the Southern region can be suitable for the farmstay models of tourism in Quang Nam.
