Improving tourism quality in Cham Islands


(QNO) - Hoi An city (Quang Nam province) has committed to adjust the entrance fee, improve the product quality and tightly control tour prices, etc. in order to enhance the destination brand of Cham Islands.

Since Cham Islands was recognized as the World Biosphere Reserve by the UNESCO, it becomes one of the leading tourism destinations of Quang Nam province. In 2016, Cham Islands welcomed about 435,000 visitors, creating job opportunities and contributing to economic growth in the locality. According to Head of Cham Islands' Association of Tourism Tran Hung, it is very essential to build trust in visitors for the sustainable development of Cham Islands tourism in 2017. Tourists to Cham Islands not only enjoy eco-tourism but also historical and cultural values. They can also experience interesting feelings of sea waves, corals, heritage trees and the atmosphere here. Director of Cham Islands Marine Reserve Tran Thi Hong Thuy also said about the new tour products in the islands such as sightseeing tours to forests, seas and around the islands. Especially, the quality of tourism service is improved.
