My Son Tourism: achievements, potentials and expectations


(QNO) - The brand name of My Son Tourism has been known domestically and internationally since the My Son Relic and Tourism Management Board (RTMB) was founded in 1995.

During the last 20 years the number of visitors to My Son has been rising steadily, 20 percent a year and nearly 270 thousand arrivals in 2015. Tourists have also more and more highly appreciated the conveniences the My Son RTMB brings about such as electric trams to take visitors to the relic, the infrastructure and speaking quality improvement, rearrangement of the items in the exhibition house. Especially, the Cham folk performances become more diversified and professional, which makes My Son more charming and unique in tourists’ eyes. Besides, some beautiful sites outside the relic are being surveyed and invested in order to diversify tourism products here. The tourism connections and propaganda are also strengthened to more broaden the My Son brand-name.

With the present potentials and their efforts, the My Son RTMB, the local people and administration hope to make My Son an attractive tourism center of the Central Vietnam in the future, contribute to the local sustainable economic development.
