A project on community-based tourism development in Quang Nam province towards 2025 was presented on September 15.
According to the project, 7 community-based tourism sites will be supported, including Tam Thanh mural village (Tam Ky city), Tam Hai island commune, Giang Thom pool eco-tourism village, Tam My Tay fruit village (Nui Thanh district), Loc Yen ancient village (Tien Phuoc district), Dai Binh village (Nong Son district), Mo Chai village (Nam Tra My), and Triem Tay village (Dien Ban town).
These tourism sites will be supported to build and upgrade the infrastructure, to train and improve the human resource and to do promotion.
Deputy Chairman of the Quang Nam provincial People’s Committee Tran Van Tan highly agreed with the content of the project. He also asked the Quang Nam Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism to carry out some surveys in Huong Tra village (Tam Ky city) and mountainous villages so as to have some proper support for their tourism development.
