For the first time, a forum on development of tourism linkages among Ha Noi, Ho Chi Minh city and the Central Vietnam key economic region has been organized. It was considered a new start of Vietnam tourism after the Covid-19 epidemic.
The event took place in Hoi An city, Quang Nam province last weekend. Under the theme "The Flow of Quintessence”, it focused on 4 main issues: the state management, human resources, products and promotion strategy for tourism development.
The forum was an opportunity for 7 provinces and cities in Viet Nam including Ha Noi, Ho Chi Minh City, Quang Nam, Thua Thien-Hue, Da Nang, Quang Ngai, Binh Dinh to exchange information and find out new directions in local tourism development, especially after the Covid-19 pandemic.
It contributes to the socio-economic growth in above localities in particular and the whole country in general.
According to Chairman of the Quang Nam People’s Committee Le Tri Thanh, in the complicated context of Covid-19 in the world, the domestic tourist market is an important key for tourism recovery and development.
So, Quang Nam and other provinces and cities make every effort to improve the tourism environment, build a smart tourism system, link the infrastructure, promote cultural heritage values, form tourism product chains, provide human resources training, adapt to climate change, protect environment, build safe and attractive destinations towards sustainable tourism development.
Creating development opportunities
As economic, political, cultural, scientific - technical and tourism hubs of Vietnam, Ha Noi and Ho Chi Minh city have advantages for tourism development.
They are also the places to receive international and domestic tourists of the country, the places of headquarters of leading tourism-related groups and businesses.
At the forum, a representative of Ho Chi Minh City said the connection in tourism development among Ha Noi, Ho Chi Minh City and the Central Vietnam key economic region is one of the solutions for local and national tourism development.
These localities should focus on information and technology, artificial intelligence to promote tourism.
